Our Düsseldorf office is the address for everything that needs to be decided under German law: the acquisition of a company, the structure of an investment, a contract that must be valid before a German court, a procedure before a German authority.
North Rhine-Westphalia is the most populous federal state and a dense economic area of industry, SMEs, and trade. Many companies here have suppliers, subsidiaries, or owners in Turkey; many Turkish companies enter the German market through North Rhine-Westphalia. This is exactly where we operate.
What Clients Come to Us With
The reasons are repetitive, but the starting points are not. A Turkish manufacturer wants to establish a German distribution company and asks about the legal form, the liability of the managing director, and what cannot be changed later in the articles of association. A German company acquires a supplier with production in Turkey and needs an examination that covers both legal systems. An investor encounters a licensing requirement for an investment that he had not planned for.
And when a collaboration breaks down, the starting point is not a lawsuit, but a sober question: Which law applies, where will negotiations take place, and can a judgment be enforced where the assets are located?
How We Work
We clarify three things early on: Which law applies? Who decides in case of a dispute? And what can still be contractually determined as long as the relationship works? These questions cost an hour at the beginning and often lead to a procedure later on.
